Certain tabloids claim that a few years ago George Clooney and Meghan Markle had a secret fling. Over the past couple of months, Clooney spoke about Markle being treated badly by the press. In one interview he said that Markle was „a really kind and smart and intelligent young woman“. NW claims that the reason behind Clooney’s protective and admirable words towards Markle is their romantic history.

The insider told the magazine: „George and Meghan are great friends, but the way that he’s so publicly stood up for her recently makes it seem like they could have some kind of a past. After all, Meg would be exactly George’s type. She’s beautiful and wants to make the world a better place. Plus, she goes after what she wants. She wouldn’t have been afraid to make a move on George when they were both single!“
It is believed that so-called fling happened in 2013, shortly before Markle and Trevor Engelson’s divorce was finalized, and before Clooney met Amal. At that time, Markle was shooting Suits in Toronto.

Prince Harry and George Clooney know each other for several years, so Clooney met Markle through her husband. Allegedly Harry and Markle hang out with Clooney and his wife on a regular basis. Clooney and Markle didn’t know each other before, and nor they had a fling.
