If your cat doesn’t have its own place to sleep, it will probably move around your house and sleep on random objects, sometimes in your own bed. Although there is nothing wrong about this, some people prefer to separate their personal sleeping space from the pets, and the first step into that is to make your pet their own place to sleep in. Whether it is because of allergy reasons or just overall hygiene, it doesn’t really matter, some people do it for discipline reasons because a pet should know the limits its owner is sitting at home. Besides, a bed that’s specially designed for cats will be much more comfortable for your pet compared to a human bed.

Getting a cat bed is easy, but just like we mentioned earlier, pre-built ones will cost a lot of money, and they are not even guaranteed to look good or be comfortable enough. How long will it take me to make a bed for my cat?

It won’t take you more than a few days, or you can even finish it in just one day if you have all the required materials at your home. The only “complicated” part might be putting a few planks together or screwing them tightly so that the bed doesn’t collapse over time, the rest is just cosmetics.
Painting it, adding pillows or any other soft materials, attaching a few toys and hanging objects and that’s about it. You should be done in a very short time, and in the end, you will realize that your effort was much worth it because you didn’t spend hundreds of dollars on a pre-built one.
