Meghan Markle has been an activist for animal rights for a long time now. She believes in justice for all animals and she tries to back up her beliefs with her actions. The former actress allegedly refused to wear fur while filming the television show Suits, and she also chooses to wear vegan leather instead of real leather. Her actions about fair and ethical treatment of animals isn’t just about her not wearing fur and leather, but also about the fact that she has adopted few animals, dogs to be certain, from animal shelters. Her fellow animal rights activist, Ellen DeGeneres, urged Markle to adopt her last dog named Bogart.
The Duchess Of Sussex’s Semi-vegan Diet
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are trying to adopt a healthy lifestyle, and that includes a healthy diet. That means they both try to eat a plant-based diet during a week. Markle has some favorite foods that aren’t plan-based, and those include sushi, steak, and chicken, so she tries to limit them to the weekends. During a week, the former actress tries to eat as many vegetables and fruits as she can, and drinks green juice. Delish revealed that the Duchess considers green juice a medicine, and that it is her replacement for a coffee. Markle enjoys eating salad, and loves almonds, watermelon, and acai bowls.

Being vegan isn’t just about eliminating animal products from your diet and fashion. Many people doesn’t know it, but there are numerous products that we use that contain animal products or that they harmed animals during its production. So we come to the revelation that there are vegan paint. Many paints contain dairy products of beeswax as a binding agent and some paint is tested on animals, and some may be colored with crushed animal or insect parts, which may come as a surprise.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decided to use an Eucalyptus infused vegan paint in a neutral color, which features anibacterial and antimicrobial properties, for the nursery. When choosing this paint, make sure you check with a professional.
What Is The Queen Elizabeth II’s Reation To All This?
There are certain claims that the Queen is worried about these changes affecting a longstanding family tradition. Many royal members participate in hunting, and the future little royal won’t be able to do it as a vegan, because the child will be raised to believe that what its family does is wrong. Finally, the Queen won’t meddle into the child’s diet and will show respect for Harry and Meghan’s decisions. After all the Queen has more important things to think about.
