‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ fans will be thrilled finding out that franchise of one of the best series of fantasy swashbuckler films will get its reboot.
In October 2018, it was reported that Disney is planning a reboot of the famous franchise. Writing duo Rhett Reese and Paul, who wrote scripts for two ‘Deadpool’ films, are in talks to write the script for the next film.
Even though the studio hasn’t yet officially confirmed their planes, it is presumed that Jerry Bruckheimer will continue to be a captain of the production ship.
The franchise has five films and it started in 2003 with ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl’. The film received positive reviews and after the great success the franchise continued with ‘Dead Man’s Chest’, who ended up being number one film earning $1.1 billion. Third film ‘At World’s End’ didn’t earn as much as previous, but the fourth, subtitled ‘On Stranger Tides’ which was in 3D, also earned more than $1 billion. Last film of the franchise ‘Dead Men Tell No Tails’ received mixed reviews and is the second lowest earning film of the franchise.
It’s still early to talk about who might get back to the film, but we think we can expect to see some new faces on big screens.
