The UFC 281 is returning to Madison Square Garden in New York this weekend for the highly anticipated Adesanya vs. Pereira UFC 281 pay-per-view (PPV) event. After a successful UFC 280 PPV in the Middle East, the promotion will host the PPV on Saturday night. While Islam Makhachev has crowned the undisputed UFC lightweight title last month, Israel Adesanya enters UFC 281, hoping to keep and improve his undefeated middleweight record.
Meanwhile, the main event of UFC 281 will be a fight between Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira for the UFC middleweight title. The MMA world has anticipated this bout since Alex Pereira made his UFC debut in MSG last year. While Adesanya has successfully defended his title against Robert Whittaker and Jared Cannonier, Periera earned his shot at the title by defeating Andreas Michailidis, Bruno Silva, and Sean Strickland.
