The Miss Universe 2018 pageant was held in Bangkok, Thailand. Steve Harvey and Ashley Graham hosted, with performances from Ne-Yo and commentary from Carson Kressley and Lu Sierra.

From 94 women who competed in this year’s Miss Universe, Catriona Gray of Philippines won the title as the Miss Universe 2018. This year’s pageant brought some changes. Even though the transgender contestants are allowed to compete, this year marked the first transgender competitor Angela Ponce from Spain. Panama was represented by an indigenous woman, and the judging panel changed from all-female to mixed-gender who are entrepreneurs, business leaders, industry experts, and former pageant title holders.
The country with most wins
There are four beauty pageants – Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss International, and Miss Earth. Venezuela is the leading county with seven Miss Universe titles, South Africa has six Miss World titles, six Miss International and two Miss Earth titles. The Philippines now has four Miss Universe titles, four Miss Earth, six Miss International, and one Miss Earth title.
