For new parents, one of the most interesting activities is decorating the baby’s nursery. There are many themes, colors, and designs to choose from make the baby’s room a perfect little sanctuary. However, when the baby is royal, there is even more pressure, as Meghan Markle and Prince Harry know. They have a lot of work to be done before April, which is the baby’s due date. Along with the nursery, they are renovating the whole house.
Design of the nursery
Meghan Markle is a very environmentally conscious and socially aware person, so she decided to design the nursery ecologically friendly. She chose vegan paint which is eucalyptus scented. Meghan is a huge fan of interior design and will for sure choose every aspect carefully for their new house, Frogmore Cottage.
Prince Harry is also affecting the design. He loves technology, so he will make sure the room is modern, and also he’ll be able to control everything from his smartphone. The nursery will be designed as gender-neutral since it isn’t yet known whether the baby is a boy or a girl. The colors will be grey and white, and other colors will be added when they reveal the gender. Meghan manages to track all the ideas by using a mood board.
Mood board
A mood board is a large board which is mainly used for a collage. Designers use it when they plan a project- they pin different things on it, such as photos, bits of cloth, parts of the magazines etc. Meghan uses her board to pin ideas for the nursery, including window design, high-security system, and stuffed animals.
Choosing the baby’s name with the help of the board
This method is called brainstorming. Even though the gender isn’t known yet, the public already has ideas for the royal baby’s name. Suggestions for a girl are Alice, Elizabeth, Victoria or Diana, and for a boy Alexander, Arthur or Albert. Hopefully, we will soon see how their new house looks like and greet the new baby as well.
