There are over five thousand people dressed as Santa Claus racing in a seven-kilometer race. The event is charity based and truly warms your heart when you watch it happen.
The Lopburi Monkey Buffet – Thailand
Have you ever seen a monkey enjoying better food than you had today? How about dozens of them? Well, if you haven’t, it’s time to visit Thailand. Each year, every November on the last weekend, Villagers cook delicious foods in very big quantities and they throw a party for the local monkeys. They gather around and watch, take photos and have a great time while their animal friends are making everyone jealous by eating their favorite foods and sometimes even drinking Coca-Cola! We definitely advise you to visit this celebration, it’s unlike anything you’ve seen before.
The melon day – Turkmenistan
There is a special Muslim holiday that takes place in Turkmenistan where the Melon is a worshipped fruit for a day. Everyone enjoys eating one and making delicious variations of deserts from it. Before you get grossed out, we find this to be a very unique and funny holiday celebration that all of the residents enjoy. For an entire day, everyone gets muddy from head to toe and they perform various activities like zip-lining and taking funny pictures.

This “ghoulish” holiday might sound pretty creepy at first. You might be wondering why anyone would have a holiday that is dedicated to death. Well, it’s not actually about celebrating death. People gather and make masks with skeletons and ghostly themed costumes in order to pay respect to their loved ones that passed away. They also set up altars that are decorated with skulls, but they also have foods and drinks on them. We find this to be a very unique and amazing holiday.
