If you missed Lady Gaga’s Super Bowl halftime performance, you really should get your life. But if you caught it, I’ve got one question: How awesome was that?! On February 5th, Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta did not come to play. She definitely slayed her performance and left us all reeling over it.
The “Paparazzi” singer began her performance belting out “God Bless America” mixed with a little of “This Land Is Your Land” before descending from the top of Houston’s NRG Stadium. She burst into performing “Poker Face” then flipped onto the stage and delved into “Born This Way.” She followed up with “Telephone” (sans Beyonce), “Just Dance,” “A Million Reasons,” and ended with one of my faves, “Bad Romance.” Her performance deserved a mic drop, which is exactly what she did before catching a football and jumping off stage.
Following her stellar performance, Gaga announced that she will be kicking off her Joanne World Tour this fall. Last year, her fourth album, Joanne debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The tour will be her first solo-headlining show since 2014. Gaga posted a teaser of the world tour just hours after showing out on the Super Bowl stage.
