From the same people who brought us such ah-mah-zing mockumentary series as “Burning Love” and “Newsreaders,” comes a new show about female empowerment and the betterment of mankind.

It’s about completely vapid Florida-based housewives who wear tacky dresses, drink too many mojitos, and prefer their men like their chocolate—rich. It’s called “The Hotwives Of Orlando” and, judging by the trailer, it’s going to be our next dose of Hulu-prescribed Prozac.
Written and created by Dannah Phirman and Danielle Schneider, the series premieres July 15 and stars a ton of familiar funny faces as all-to-accurate characters we’ve grown to know and love—and then possibly hate—on reality TV. For example, there’s Veronica (played by Andrea Savage), the “Rich White Woman” who appears to possess an overactive libido much reminiscent of Sonja Morgan from “The Real Housewives Of NYC.” Then there’s Amanda (played by Kristen Schaal), the “Former Child Star” who can’t let go over her showbiz past … or the flask in her purse. (Sorry, Kim Richards, but your slurry “Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills” antics might’ve inspired this portrayal.)
Finally, let’s not forget about Tawny (played by the incomparable Casey Wilson), the “Trophy Wife,” whose wigs are just as bad as her singing voice. Yup, this one’s all you, Kim Zolciak from “The Real Housewives Of Atlanta.”
