Princess Elizabeth of York, the future monarch of the UK
Decades before being the Queen of England, as well as the longest-ruling monarch in British history, young Princess Elizabeth was snapped at the tender age of one, back on, June 1, 1927. She looks very amused and happy on her teeny tiny “throne”, as she poses for London News. A sign of great things to come, for sure.

Just before his first birthday, on October 13, 1949, the future Prince of Wales and the first in line for the throne is pushed in his pram by Helen Lightbody, his nanny from 1948 until 1956.
Prince Philip, as the Prince of Greece and Denmark
The husband of the Queen, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, was born as a Prince of Greece and Denmark, on June 10, 1921. From there, things really went badly for his family, as they were exiled from Greece before this photo of the one-year-old royal happened. Twelve years later, he met Princess Elizabeth of York, and began a lengthy correspondence with her that would result in their marriage in 1947.

Princess Margaret Rose
Born on August 30, 1930, Princess Margaret Rose of York became the Countess of Snowdon after getting married to Antony Armstrong-Jones in 1960, who was named Earl of Snowdon by the Queen. The future Duke of Cambridge, Prince William of Wales
The third in line for the throne, Prince William Arthur Philip Louis was born on June 21, 1982. Here, he is snapped just before his first birthday, while being carried off the airplane by his nanny, Barbara Barnes. With his parents, he toured Australia and New Zealand.
The future Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry
In this heartwarming picture from August 7, 1985, Lady Diana, Princess of Wales, carries her younger, soon-to-be one-year-old son, Prince Henry Charles Albert David, aboard the ship “Britannia”. They sailed to the Western Isles of Scotland.
Princess Eugenie
On September 11, 1991, Princess Eugenie of York waived farewell to her sister Princess Beatrice, who went for her first school day. Her mum, Sarah, Duchess of York, is holding her by the hand.
Princess Anne, the future Princess Royal
