It has definitely been an exciting few days for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The royal couple welcomed their new son on Monday and debuted him via a photo-call at Windsor Castle on Wednesday.
But fans don’t know everything yet, they are still yet to find out what the baby’s name is and who the godparents are. Reportedly, they are now planning a christening. A lot of people have been speculating as to who would be the godparents, and a lot of people suspect that it would be one of the couple’s famous inner circle.

George Clooney and Amal Clooney are one of those names. Both of them attended the royal wedding and Amal was even the one who hosted Meghan’s baby shower. But people shouldn’t get ahead of themselves, While on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, George Clooney proclaimed that he shouldn’t be the godfather.
“That would be a bad idea,” he said. “I shouldn’t be the [godfather]. I’m a father of twins I can barely do that.”
He was asked if he would turn down the offer if he was asked and Clooney said, “I’m not going to be the godfather. I promise you that. I’m fairly sure.”
As a matter of fact he said that he shouldn’t be anyone’s godfather. But, Harry and Meghan shouldn’t take it to heart. Everyone asks Clooney to fulfill that role. If he ever ends up being the royal baby’s godfather the two would share a few things, like their birthday, it being on May 6.
“Yeah, that kid stole my thunder,” Clooney said regarding his celebration this year.
We will have to wait a bit longer to learn who the godparents will be.
