Using the Internet on a daily basis has many benefits. You can use social platforms to connect with your friends and family, read the news and stay informed about everything that is happening in the world and learn anything that interests you. However, if you are not careful while online, you can be a victim of many viruses that can steal your personal information and use them against you.

Recently, a cybersecurity analyst has warned us about a new phishing attack. You wonder how this virus exactly works. Well, it is designed to imitate the look of webpages and browsers and it can trick most attentive users, so you have to be extra careful. Co-founder and CEO of Software Company Myki released a video where it is explained step by step how the malware imitates iOS software and browser searches.  Every website can be affected by this virus, even Facebook. When you open the Facebook page in your browser, a fake login page will pop up prompting you to enter your data. You may think that is a legit Facebook page since the virus will imitate it perfectly, however you may become the victim of this virus and all your data will be stolen. This page will overlay the authentic page so you probably won’t be able to tell the difference. The main difference that can help you realize that it is a fraud is that your browser will open an additional window instead of a new tab as it usually does. Cybersecurity analyst warns us to always ask ourselves why is the page asking you to log in again and shouldn’t you already be logged in Facebook or any other platform you use.

Even though these attacks currently affect Facebook page, Safari, and iOS system, it will probably soon expand to the Android system and other webpages. It does sound scary how easily your data can be stolen, and you must be wondering how to protect yourself. There are some Security Service that can protect your from different viruses, but to protect your Internet browsing and data you should install PhishProtection. To start, you can apply for a free trial version of this software. The main goal of this software is to protect your entire computer and also e-mail. It will automatically flag spam emails which contain malware as dangerous, and it will protect you from a virus even if you open the email. Phishing Protection is the best protection for your company’s data and your employees. It protects you no matter what device and operating system you use, everything from your phone, laptop or tablet to Windows, Mac, Linux or iOS system. Not only does it protect your email, but this software also double scans every file you download and automatically blocks every suspicious document.

To this day Phishing Attacks remain one of the most common and most dangerous. Because it is so well designed, you should always be on the lookout when browsing the web and downloading files. Additionally, you should always have some protection system installed on your devices, just to be on the safe side.
