Everyone has a drink they turn to when they’re not sure what to order. Gin can be divisive, but we have pulled together a list of the very best ways to drink it that will definitely get you onboard. Whether your taste buds go towards the smokey, the sweet or the sour we have the Gin alternatives for you.
Gin has a complicated and interesting history that might be a part of the reason that some people do not like it. Gin became a drink for the masses in London in the early 1700’s. Many urban parts of London were extremely poor, and gin was at the time, much more affordable than beer. Gin very quickly became associated with poverty and madness.
In the mid-1800’s, gin made it to the US. Later, about 75 different brands of gin launched, including Bombay Sapphire in 1987, Plymouth’s relaunch in 1998 and Tanqueray No.10 in 2000. Silent Pool, an artisanal gin from England, launched in summer 2014 and their first bottle was sold in April 2015.
The best part about gin is that it combines easily with hundreds of other ingredients to make an array of cocktails that are guaranteed to tantalize your taste buds. Gin today can be much more than just the classic G&T. We have partnered with Silent Pool Gin, the fastest growing super-premium gin globally to get their take on the modern alternative gin cocktails.
