Ivanka Trump Used Her Personal Email Account For Governmental Business

Twitter got heated up when the news broke of Ivanka Trump using her personal email for the White House business. Not so long ago her father started a political war with Hillary Clinton accusing her of using her personal email when she was Secretary of State, and now that his daughter did the same thing people are using the slogan he did “lock her up.”

The new of this scandal was reported by the Washington Post on November 19, and the public reacted the same why Trump did when Hillary’s scandal broke out. The scandal helped Trump to win over Clinton but now that Ivanka, who serves as a senior aide for the President, sent a “hundred” of emails of her work from her private account, we think things might change. The Washington Post noted that “a number of aides were alarmed by how similar the situation was to the private e-mail scandal that became a favourite target by Republicans to tear down Hillary.”

Ivanka’s spokesman, Peter Mirijanian, said how she was sometimes sending emails from her personal account but mainly logistics or some personal schedule, but that there were no “classified information transmitted, the account was never transferred or housed at Trump Organization, no emails were ever deleted, and the emails have been retained in the official account.”

But that didn’t stop many celebrities and people on twitter to remind Trump and his daughter of what they did a few years ago to win the places they are in now.

Hmmm…. Ivanka Trump used a private email to discuss government business. #LockHerUp?? https://t.co/ofC3HEafZB

Members of the Trump administration who have used personal email to conduct official business:
1) Ivanka Trump
2) Jared Kushner
3) Steve Bannon
4) Stephen Miller
5) Reince Priebus
6) Gary Cohn

The shameless hypocrisy of these people never ceases to amaze me.

And Rober Reich gave us a list of President’s people who used their personal accounts to discuss business.

Members of the Trump administration who have used personal email to conduct official business:
1) Ivanka Trump
2) Jared Kushner
3) Steve Bannon
4) Stephen Miller
5) Reince Priebus
6) Gary Cohn

The shameless hypocrisy of these people never ceases to amaze me.

Some users commented “Important to keep in mind: back when Hillary Clinton used private email for government business, there were no rules against it. By the time Ivanka Trump did the same thing several years later, there were hard and fast rules against it. There’s only one scandal here: Ivanka.”, while the other one added: ”… Above the law, just like daddy. Disgusting hardly says it.”

People are asking for sanctions at this point as, as the user noted, there are rules against it. It can only be said what goes around, comes around.
