Living a stressful life is something people all over the world can relate to. Having to balance a busy work-life with daily tasks, family, friends, social arrangements, and somehow cram in exercise, is not always so easy. This circle of plans every day makes a lot of people want some extra hours of the day. But how do you manage all these things in life? Is it even possible? Yes, for some it is, but for others, it’s important to slow down.

Living a healthy lifestyle can sometimes be hard. When your whole calendar is full from morning till nighttime, priorities like daily exercise and healthy food can seem impossible. That may result in ordering fast food, instead of preparing healthy food. Being too tired for going to the gym or lying awake with too many worries and stress at night, is the reality of many. But stress is certainly, not something to ignore.

Sleep is vital

Sleeping is one of the human basic needs and is extremely important for the body to regenerate, restore and repair. Sleep affects cognitive abilities and is therefore important for concentration, memory, creativity, and many more things. But sleep is also important if you’re stressed. When you’re stressed, this condition can easily give sleeping problems. Some people feel anxious or have racing thoughts, which affects the ability to fall asleep.

There are many things you can do though, which might help you calm down before sleeping. A natural supplement, like the one on this website –  https://rawpowders.co.uk/sports-nutrition, might be helpful. Gaba is a neurotransmitter, which the body produces naturally, but it can be taken as a supplement.

If sleeping is a problem for you, you might want to find some relaxing music. On audio streaming services, you can find a great variety of different music, which has a calming effect. Some people find different nature sounds, relaxing, others use binaural sounds useful.

Daily exercise

Exercising is important for both the body and mind. Not only does exercise prevent many different health issues, but it also helps with well-being. Exercise also reduces stress. Even though it might be hard to fit exercise into a busy life, it’s worth it trying anyways. It might be necessary to be more creative, but there are ways to include it, without it being too time-consuming. Instead of taking the car everywhere, you can take the bike. It all counts.

If exercising, is hard to find the motivation for, maybe it’s worth it to try a few different sports instead. Fitness is not for everybody, but maybe another sport like boxing, football, or even hockey could be relevant?

Good nutritional food

You are what you eat. There’s something about it, that’s hard to ignore. What you feed your body with, will have an impact, either negatively or positively. Eating fast food and takeaway is easy, but not necessarily the healthiest. It can also be quite costly over time. If finding the time to make good and healthy food is hard in your life, there are different solutions to this. Prepared meal delivery could be a solution if it has to be easy and fast. If not, maybe it is worth considering doing a meal prep day once or twice a week.

Drink lots of water

Water is also important for the body to be functioning right. Dehydration is not something to mess around with and can affect many things physically and mentally. Make sure you drink enough water every single day

Breathing exercises

Breathwork is good for the body when it needs to calm down. If you have trouble sleeping, these exercises might be helpful. The same goes for situations, where you feel wired, anxious and can’t calm you fast and shallow breathing. Breathwork exercises can be found both online and on different apps.

Mental wellbeing

A happy life is not just about food and exercise. Mental wellbeing is really important to take care of. Unfortunately, humans cannot control everything in life. Sometimes things happen, that are out of our control. Losses, traumas, and other situations can be a hard part of life and affect people deeply. Mental issues, stress, grief is just some of the things many people are battling with. It is really important to keep an eye out for yourself if you’re not feeling good. Seek help if you need to and protect yourself in the way it is necessary.

Are you feeling stressed?

If you’re stressed, it is important to find out, what causes the stress. What is it, that triggers the stress and how can you change it? Stress can come from the workplace, but it can also develop from difficult life situations and many other things. If the stress is related to the job or career, it is important to have a talk with your manager about this. This might mean you’ll have to work less or have fewer responsibilities for a while, but it might be necessary. If stress is caused by something else in your private life, it is also important to have a break from it somehow. It might mean, you have to say no to some things in life, which can be hard to say no to. But for you to maybe be there for somebody else, it is also important that you’re feeling well enough to do so.

Having some personal issues or feeling stressed, can affect your life quality very much, and it’s important to seek help if needed. Sometimes it helps to open up to someone and talk about the issues you’re battling with. Stress requires changes in your life if you want to overcome it. It is not something that just goes away in no time, it’s something that can take a long time to recover from. Have patience with yourself, and let your body get what it needs, even when you have to say no to things you do not want to. It’s necessary to protect yourself and your well-being.
