By the looks of it, Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra might tie the knot this autumn! A Bollywood website noted that the two are getting married next month in Jodhpur, India.
“Nick and Priyanka were recently in India and had even gone to Jodhpur. That was when they decided the gorgeous Umaid Bhawan to be their dream wedding venue,” an insider told FilmFare.com. “They will have a limited guest list of 200 people with only their close friends and family in attendance.”
But this is not the only place where the events will be happening. “Since a lot of their Hollywood friends are settled in New York, PC is quite excited to have her bridal shower there followed by a grand wedding in Jodhpur,” the source continued.
It’s not at all shocking that the couple wants an Indian wedding. This summer, in August they threw an engagement party with the couple’s families in Mumbai, with a traditional engagement ritual, commonly known in India as a roka ritual. The priest who carried out the ritual said: “We have performed a puja [a prayer ritual] for a happy and a prosperous life of Priyanka Chopra and Nicki Jonas,” the priest said. “After Lord Ganesha’s puja, they performed their engagement ceremony. All the family members were present at the puja.”
Shortly after the ritual, Nick and Priyanka admitted that they are engaged, even though the whole world knew about it 3 weeks before that. They posted photographs from the event on Instagram. The singer posted a lot of pictures, and under a picture of them with the couple’s parents wrote: “Prayer, family and loved ones as the foundation to this new chapter.”
HollywoodLife tried to get in touch to Nick and Priyanka’s agents for a statement but they still haven’t said a word.
