Are you thinking about embarking on the adventure of a lifetime by visiting all 50 states and its capital? You may have already made a plan for your trip and labeled all big cities you want to visit. Or maybe you have always wanted to visit Minnesota. We are going to help you. Here is everything you need to know before traveling to this country.

The capital city of Minnesota is Saint Paul. Saint Paul and Minneapolis are called Twin City since they are the largest cities in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metropolitan area. Even though they are called Twin City, they are different. Minneapolis is known for its numerous skyscrapers and energetic nightlife. On the other hand, St. Paul is perceived as a historic city that focuses on classic architecture and traditions. These cities offer you a completely different experience. People say St. Paul is green and quiet, while Minneapolis is a city that never sleeps. You just have to choose between calm and busy city experience.

Minnesota is considered the land of lakes. There are over 10,000 lakes in this country and no matter where you go, you will come across a lake. The largest lake in Minnesota is Lake Calhoun, and it is a part of the Grand Rounds National Scenic Byway. The lake is a popular tourist attraction because it is surrounded by parks and encircled with walk and bike trails. Also, there are athletic fields around the lake and also the famous Lake Calhoun Sailing School. If you are an art lover, you should visit Minneapolis Institute of Art which holds more than 83,000 pieces of art or you could visit the famous Guthrie Theater which is considered the city’s most precious treasure.

When talking about transportation, you can choose between metro, Uber, Lyft or taxi. If you want to travel comfortably for the airport to your accommodation, you can make an online reservation for Airport taxi Northfield service. Their licensed and insured vehicle will welcome you to the airport and transport you safely and quickly to your hotel. You can choose to pay with cash, credit cards, PayPal or any other method of payment.

On the other note, the two main features of Minnesota are kind people and cold weather. “Minnesota nice” is a way to describe the citizens of this country. If you are wandering through the streets of Minneapolis or St. Paul, feel free to ask any pedestrian for directions, and they will be more than happy to help you. Furthermore, be prepared for cold weather when visiting Minnesota. You should always wear warm layers of clothes because you can be cold even while sunbathing by the lake. Also, if you plan to go hiking don’t forget to bring comfortable shoes. Also, if you are visiting Minnesota between October and April, expect a lot of snow and be ready to spend a lot of your time indoors due to the harsh winter. You can visit Nickelodeon Universe theme park in the Mall of America, The Great Wolf Lodge in Bloomington that consists of an indoor water park, miniature bowling alleys, climbing wall, an arcade and live-action adventure challenge – MagiQuest, or if you are an animal lover, you can visit the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory.

All in all, these are some basic things to explore before starting your journey through Minnesota. Depending on how many days you’ll be staying in this country, make a detailed plan of your journey, bring warm and comfortable clothes and enjoy your stay.
