Why You Should Use Beard Oil to Have a Viking Beard

by Wendy Stokes January 13, 2019

Just as you wash your face, hands and noble parts daily, you must also take care of your beard. Your beard is exposed to external agents such as remains of food, smoke, dandruff, bacteria, among others that deteriorate facial hair and can make your skin sick.

If you are the proud first-time father of a beard, keep in mind that you must adopt a hygiene routine to keep it clean and healthy. It’s not enough to wash it with shampoo and untangle it in the shower. Wearing a beard is almost a lifestyle. It requires discipline, patience and a fixed budget per month.

One of the products that cannot be missing from your personal bathroom is beard oil. Its function is to moisturize the facial hair to avoid dandruff, knots, and losses. It also nourishes your skin, making it softer and more tender.

An oiled beard is a happy beard

Even if your goal is a Viking beard, you have to take care of it like a newborn baby. Beard oil is recommended during the early stages of beard growth. Why? Because it hydrates the skin underneath it and promotes growth! No more beard with skin patches!

The oil leaves your beard soft, silky and shiny. It will also help get rid of those undesirable knots and tangles. That’s why it’s good to apply it after washing your beard with a good shampoo and special conditioner for facial hair.

Beard oil is a great ally against itching, allergies, and scabies. If applied regularly, avoid clogging your pores with garbage particles, bacteria or smoke.

What do I need to know to use the right beard oil?

So if you want a well-groomed beard and shiny skin, the secret is to choose the right beard oil.

You’ll probably find hundreds of brands on the shelf. Don’t panic! Not all tiny glass jars with a woodcutter’s drawing are the reliable choice.

Beard oils are made up of vegetable oils that serve as a moisturizing chemical base that makes your beard look shiny and pretty, and essential oils that give a rich fragrance and texture to facial hair.

The best beard oils are based on coconut, almond or moringa. The natural properties of walnuts favor hair fibers because they are rich in amino acids and vitamins. Oils with a fruity profile, such as argan tree or Morocco, prevent frizz and help take care of your skin.

If you combine a good base with essential oils from wood, dried fruit or wet soil, you will become the alpha male in your office.
