In 1915, Harry Whittier Frees published a book called The Little Folks of Animal Land. In it, Frees dressed up kittens and puppies in a bunch of human scenarios and created comical scenes. Because people have generally always loved laughing at animals in people clothes — long before ICanHazCheeseburger figured it out.
