NCIS is one of the most popular shows on TV and especially on CBS. It is currently in 16th season and has been on the air since 2003. When a show lasts for 15 years, you know it has a stable and loyal fan base. Still, even they get sometimes annoyed with flaws they see on screens.
One of the most common complaints fans have is the inconsistency. There are many instances on the show when characters make obvious mistakes that could have been easily avoided if someone actually took time to proofread the script. For instance, in episode 2 of season 15, Bishop says that a hitman was released from prison in 2008. Later, she says he was released in 2010. Which one is it, Bishop? Get your facts straight.
Agent Torres often wears tight t-shirts, in order to show his bulging biceps and pecs. This has created some resentment among the fans, who wonder why is he wearing clothes that are obviously too small for him and is that his decision or the producers’ one.
Another objection fans have about Torres is that he is seen as bland. His jokes are repetitive and themes are recycled. Fans also don’t like that showrunners are trying to force a Bishop/Torres relationship.
Finally, the biggest complaint is that Abby is no longer with the show. Played by Pauley Perrette, Abbey was a crucial part of NCIS charm. Her relationship with other characters is what provided for a great dynamic of the show. Unfortunately, Perrette left the show in 2018 and created a vacuum that won’t be easily filled.
