It’s a valid point, but it doesn’t cover that broad of a spectrum. There are plenty of other shows out there doing sex in innovative and, well, sexy ways. Look at “Girls,” where the sex is pure awkwardness, and “Arrested Development,” where the sex is openly comical.

A collection of the shows with the hottest, steamiest, most salacious scenes that won’t inspire any critical analyses in newspapers.
1. ”Scandal.” Arguably the sexiest show on television. Fitz and Olivia have such electric chemistry, when they’re in a room together you can practically feel their clothes coming off.

2. “True Blood.” With all the sex on this show, I don’t know how they even find time for a plot. When a TV show can make voluntary blood loss this sexy, it’s doing something very right.

3. “Grey’s Anatomy.” Nine seasons and counting, and the sex is still H-O-T. This scene heats up around the two-minute mark.4. “New Girl.” “New Girl” doesn’t have a ton of sex scenes, and the ones it does have are usually comedic. But the chemistry between Nick and Jess is what makes this show so sexy. Whenever these two are near each other it feels like they’re a step away from making out. And when they finally kissed, it took the audience completely by surprise, taking our breath away. We dare you to only watch this kiss once.

5. “Nashville.” That moment after sex when you’re both really happy and everything feels perfect and you’re just cuddling and talking about your life — that moment can be just as sexy as the sex part. “Nashville” does a great job of capturing that moment. Don’t worry, there’s plenty of steamy scenes, too.
6. “Game of Thrones.” A lot of fighting, a LOT of sex, and a lot of magic. “Game of Thrones” almost has more naked people than clothed, and manages to keep sex from EVER being predictable.
