7 Ways To Maintain Healthy Blood Pressure

Having a stable and healthy blood pressure is quite important. You should be thanking God every single day you wake-up with your blood pressure at normal levels. According to the World Health Organization, 30-40% of worldwide deaths are caused by heart attack (which is caused by High Blood Pressure). So if your blood pressure is stable, then you should be focusing on keeping it stable and healthy. Not to worry though, below is a list of the basic tips to help you maintain a healthy blood pressure state. In addition, great hope is still there for those who have high blood pressure. The tips can still help in lowering your blood pressure levels.

Get enough rest

Get yourself quality and durable mattress and make sure you sleep well during the night. Sleeping well is the only best way to give your body enough rest.

Avoid eating too much salt

It’s wise to keep this in mind that consumption of too much salt can raise your blood pressure. So for the sake of your health, it will be good if you only put enough or less salt in your food. I understand that some of us like it when the salt is more than enough. But remember, too much of everything is poisonous. Too much salt is poisonous. If this has become a habit to you, then start quitting in order to maintain a better blood pressure level.

Avoid excessive consumption of liquor 

As I said earlier, too much of everything is poisonous. Excessive consumption of beer and other beverages can lead to high blood pressure. Is hereby recommendable for everyone not to consume less of it. Drinking more than 14 Units of strong drinks should be considered as excess consumption. If you go beyond that you are just being mean and ignorant to yourself. For the sake of your blood pressure health, kindly keep the units below 14.

Regular body exercise

Exercising regularly can help lower and maintain your blood pressure at normal levels. It is recommended that you should take at least 150 minutes for a thorough body exercise every week. Regular body exercise is not only good for healthy blood pressure but also for general body health. Some of the body exercise activities include jogging, rope skipping, situps, pushups, Cycling and also swimming.

Avoid cigarettes

Cigarettes are one of the most serious causes of high blood pressure. Every minute you spend time with one in your hand increases the risk of you suffering from high blood pressure. Avoiding this ugly habit helps lower the blood pressure levels to normal. The fact is that under normal circumstances, a person who doesn’t have a pack in his pocket will live longer compared to those who cannot drink their morning coffee without lighting one up. Be cautious with your life and quit it now.

Take less caffeine

If you are well informed on caffeine you should be aware of what it does to your body after you take it. Caffeine is a stimulant and accelerates the functioning of the body system. That includes the functioning of the heart. Altering the normal rate of the heartbeat may probably lead to high blood pressure. Well, the effect of caffeine on blood pressure is still unclear but biologically, there is a connection. It definitely raises your blood pressure. If you want to confirm this fact, try to check if there are any changes in your blood after you take caffeine.

Avoid Stress

Over the years, high blood pressure has been connected to stress and depression. This is to say that too much stress can lead to a rise in your blood pressure. Therefore, it is important that you stay away from anything that can make you develop stress. This is the only way to avoid stress. Try to be calm and at peace all the time and it will be fine with your blood pressure.
