Remember TLC’s 19 Kids and Counting? Well, there is a new show, and its called Counting On, which is featuring the two oldest kids of the Duggar family, Jill and Jessa. We had the opportunity to see all the 19 children grow up and start families on their own, but these days people are more interested to see what is Jill Duggar up to. She met Derick Dillard through Jim Bob, Jill’s father. They seem happy together, but Derick Dillard has made fans hate him because of his social media behavior. He is not appearing on Counting On, nut both Jill and Derick made it clear that Dillard is attending law school.
Derick goes to the University of Arkansas law school
Many didn’t believe it, but In Touch Weekly proved that Dillard is, in fact, going to law school. The admin of the anti-Duggar family Facebook page posted, “Derick amazingly did get accepted to law school.” But anyone who followed the couple on social media already had a clue about Dillard’s attention to attend the law school.
This came after he was booted off of Counting On
The season 7 of Counting On started in February, and everyone noticed that Jill and Derick are not appearing on the show. This is all because of Derick’s social media behavior, like tweeting transphobic remarks about TLC star Jazz Jennings, and other homophobic tweets about Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent from Nate & Jeremiah by Design. TLC made the decision not to be linked to Derick Dillard anymore, despite Derick’s family stating that it was their own decision. Several months later, in August, Jill and Derick stated that Derick is going to attend law school.
Fans think Jim Bob Duggar is paying for it
Since Jill and Derick are no longer appearing on the show, many fans are speculating that Jim Bob Duggar is paying for it. Duggar Family’s News Blog stated that Derick could have “got some conservative evangelical group paying his way in hopes that if Derick actually becomes a lawyer he will be forced to work for their causes,” but the fans aren’t buying it.
The Duggar family fans think that Derick isn’t fit for law school and that his educational period won’t last long. One fan of the show posted as a response on the news, “Also, he won’t be able to handle it. I went and graduated. You need a thick skin and the ability to entertain and argue different ideas.” Another one said, “Nobody’s gonna want to listen to him and that will enrage him even more.”
