Sometimes seeing an overly mushy couple can be a little cringeworthy, even if you are one half of a good couple. Because who is that in love all the time? Some people apparently are. In fact, all the times Emily Blunt and John Krasinski have been relationship goals would probably put anything you have going on to shame. These two are totally adorable and obsessed with each other. In an interview with Sunday Today to promote his new movie, The Hollars, Krasinski called his wife and the mother of his two children his role model. He went all the way, saying: “My wife is my hero in every single way. Truly every single day I’m blown away by her. So I’m always looking to her for inspiration.”
I mean, are you serious? If that doesn’t make you look long and hard in the mirror and wonder if you’re anyone’s hero and everyday inspiration, I don’t know what will (of course, you are, by the way, just not John Krasinski’s). Blunt and Krasinski met in 2008, and it was love at first sight, according to Krasinski, who told Ellen DeGeneres, “It was one of those things where I wasn’t really looking for a relationship and I was thinking I’m going to take my time in L.A. Then I met her and I was so nervous. I was like, ‘Oh god, I think I’m going to fall in love with her.’ As I shook her hand I went, ‘I like you.’”
There are other crushingly adorable moments, too.
When Their First Date Was Really Weird
It’s not the best way to woo a woman, but Krasinski told Conan O’Brien he figured he didn’t have a chance with her anyway. But here they are now.
When Their Proposal Was Like A Cartoon
Krasinski said he got down on one knee in a casual setting. But they were in L.A. and “there were unicorns and oceans and clouds.” Obviously a perfect moment.
When He Was Her Fan From Day One
Krasinski said even before he met Blunt, he had seen The Devil Wears Prada like “75 times.” And she didn’t think he was weird for it, either.
When He Makes Her Feel Invincible
Blunt told In Style, “When I feel the support that I have from him, I feel invincible. There’s someone behind you on your good days, and someone in front of you on your bad days.”
When Date Night Is NBD
Krasinski said they try to make time for “date night,” but it’s not super lame. “We just go to dinner and talk, it’s really easy. We don’t need much. We just go to dinner and talk and have no baby talk,” he told People.
They’re obviously too cute for words. Really, find someone who looks at you the John Krasinski looks at Emily Blunt, and don’t get too creeped out by all the attention. It’s harder than it looks.
