The first hint that there may be something more serious behind the friends’ quarrel was revealed in a tweet by Giles Cohen, a celebrity food reviewer. He tweeted that everyone knows about Prince Williams’ affair, but deleted the tweet later. The situation is eerily similar to that of Princess Diana’s affair while she was married to Prince Charles, which is why people find it hard to believe that William would repeat the mistakes his parents made, considering they had a deep impact on his childhood.

Even if we disregard the affair as highly unlikely, the mystery why Kate had a falling out with Rose remains unsolved. Kate and William used to go out on double dates with Rose and her husband, David Rocksavage and were very close. They were neighbors and spent a lot of time together. William has tried to persuade Kate to reverse her decision, but she remained adamant that both Rose and her husband have to be “phased out” of their lives and all contact to stop.
