It looks like the third Saturday in May is a very popular date for royal weddings as there is a new royal wedding this year too. However, one year after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding day, another royal couple decided to tie the knot. Lady Gabriella Windsor, the 38-year-old daughter of one of Queen Elizabeth‘s cousins, Prince Michael of Kent, is getting married to Thomas Kingston.
Their wedding will take place on May 18, on the Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s one year anniversary. Similar to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Lady Gabriella will walk down the aisle at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle is a very popular place for a royal wedding. It was there that Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank got married last October.

Lady Gabriella is currently 51st in line to the throne. Her wedding reception will take place at Frogmore House, while her party will be in the afternoon. This means that Baby Sussex, which is soon to arrive, won’t be kept awake. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex recently moved into their new home, Frogmore Cottage, nearby.
Lady Gabriella and Thomas Kingston’s wedding ceremony and reception will be a more intimate event with only their closest friends and family. ‘It will be a private wedding for family and friends.’ said a Buckingham Palace source. This probably means that there won’t be any carriage ride or view for the public eyes. Likewise, there will likely be no media access and only official pictures will be released.

It is unknown yet whether Queen Elizabeth II will attend the wedding as she didn’t attend the wedding of Gabriella’s brother, Lord Freddie Windsor. Taking into consideration that this wedding will take place at one of her homes, she might attend the festivity.
On the other hand, Prince William will probably not be part of this wedding as he usually attends the FA Cup final, which falls on May 18. He had to miss it last year as he was the best man to his brother. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will probably attend the wedding as it will quite close to their home, even though they will likely have a baby to care for during that time.

If you are wondering which other royal family members will attend the wedding, it is likely that Princess Eugenie, Princess Beatrice and their father Prince Andrew will be part of it. Moreover, other royals who are probably on the guest list include Prince Edward and his wife, Sophie, Countess of Wessex, and Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.
