Adriana Lima decided to hang up her wings on her final walk at Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in New York two days ago.
The most lovable Angel decided it was a time to end this magnificent journey she’s been in for 20 years. She had her first walk for the brand when she was only 18 years old, and she became an angel in 2000. She’s the model with the longest Angel contract, and at the age of 37, she decided it’s time for new faces to step in. It is no doubt she is the icon of Victoria’s Secret brand.
Alongside her colleagues, she wore some of the most beautiful outfits and wings. In her career she wore 3 Fantasy bra’s, first being the 2008 Black Diamond Fantasy Miracle Bra. Two years later she looked stunning in Bombshell Fantasy Bra and in 2014 she walked Blue Dream Angels Fantasy Bra together with her partner-in-crime Alessandra Ambrosio. She opened five shows in the years 2003, 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2012 and closed three times. Not counting the last show, she opened thirteen segments and closed seven.
In this show, she opened one segment and closed the show like a Queen. In her first walk of the night, she did her final opening of a segment called “Flights of Fancy”. It was followed with standing ovations as she wore a sheer, sparkling top with light blue lingerie, followed by nude, feathered heels and wide-feathered wings. Before doors opened we saw a lovely message from Victoria’s secret team saying “Thank You, Adriana“. After seeing people up on their feet cheering, knowing it’s her last show, she started crying which made all the people cry.
Her second walk closed the show in “Celestial Angels” segment. She shined bright like a diamond-wearing black lace semi-sheer lingerie with giant crescent moon-shaped wings.
After the show, she used her Instagram account to thank the Victoria’s Secret brand and team with an emotional video and message.

Many models wrote heart-breaking messages to the most loveable, humble and the greatest angel of all time. It’s was all tears when she gave her final speech to the girls and very emotional when she announced her final walk. Victoria’s Secret called her the greatest angel of all time.
