Angelina Jolie was on a secret royal meeting this week with Sophie, the Countess of Wessex. While everyone was talking about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle moving out the Kingston Palace, Angelina grabbed the opportunity to meet with the Countess at the Preventing Sexual Violence in Conflict Initiative (PSVI) Film Festival – Fighting Stigma Through Film Reception.
For the occasion, the actress wore a white lace camisole suit, with belted blazer and trousers.
The Royal Family Instagram account posted a picture of the Countess and Angelina who is a UNHCR Special Envoy.
“On Friday The Countess of Wessex met UNHCR Special Envoy Angelina Jolie at the PSVI Film Festival – Fighting Stigma through Film reception at the British Film Institute. The PSVI Film Festival aims to raise awareness of this crime and encourage commitments to further action. It is also providing an opportunity for young filmmakers from conflict-affected and Commonwealth countries to fight stigma.”
Angelina talked about sexual violence in war, describing it as “an urgent international issue” and added that “changing attitudes and laws, and challenging stigma and impunity for sexual violence in all our societies is the work of generations.” She concluded her speech with the powerful sentence: “It’s all of you, it’s all of us together,” meaning it concerns us all to stop the violence.
