When it comes to choosing the Best Traditional Paint Colors for 2024, we spoke with Greensburg, Pa Painting company, Roman Paint Pros, for their expert opinion on what’s been popular with their clients so far this year.
In collaboration with Interior Designers and Real Estate professionals in the area, Roman Paint Pros told us that most of their clients are very conventional, choosing cooler Gray colors. For Interior Walls, Sherwin-Williams Passive Gray 7064 and Argos 7065 along with Repose Gray 7015 Satin Sheen, have been top choices by clients. For Accent Walls Peppercorn 7674 and Backdrop 7025 Satin Sheen have been very popular, according to Greensburg, Pa Painting company.
In addition to Walls, the top Trim Paint has been Sherwin-Williams Pro Classic Oil Based White Semi Gloss in Sheen. Roman Paint Pros also suggests using a higher end Paint to ensure you achieve exactly what you want in terms of color. Sherwin-Williams SuperPaint or Duration long with Gateway Paint Premium and Benjamin Moore Regal Select are some of the top lines. Furthermore, getting samples and applying them to the Walls before making a decision on color is a great way to help with your visualization of the room.
In past years, beige was the popular color family but has since been replaced with “Greige” colors. Greige is a Gray-Beige that has become growingly popular with new construction. In 2018, Sherwin-Williams chose Oceanside 6496 as their “Color of the Year” but the sales of the color did not exactly live up to the hype. The 2017 Color of the Year, Sherwin-Williams Poised Taupe 6039, however, did live up to expectations.
So far, the jury is still out on this years Sherwin-Williams Color of the Year, Cavern Clay 7701. Which offers a warm terracotta style. Working well with desert themed rooms. Roman Paint Pros found that more simplistic and calm tones of Gray have won out, especially when putting your home on the market. Stating that furniture, wall accessories and drapery can give the room a colorful life to any Traditional Gray
wall color. So what should you do for your next Painting project? Stay with Traditional Grays or go for the latest Color of the Year?
Can you do both?
Roman Paint Pros says that you can have the best of both worlds by doing both! Painting a majority of the home Traditional Grays and using “Color of the Year” styles of Paint in master bedrooms, formal dining rooms, game rooms and powder rooms.
