CAN ASIAN GROW BEARDS?

Beards have been a part of men’s culture for centuries. Throughout history, beards served many different purposes. During ancient times, the main goal was to intimidate and make guys look fierce. Later, it changed its roll a bit and became a sign of manhood. In different civilizations and periods of history, beards served various purposes. These reasons were sometimes traditional and cultural, but also personal. However, what about men who cannot grow a full beard?

Here we will discuss and try to help those who believe they cannot grow a beard. There will also be some tips to get you started. Mostly, we will focus on Asian beards, and bust the myth that Asians with facial hair are impossible.

THE MYTH

There is this famous myth floating saying that Asian men are incapable of growing a beard. While there certainly are guys who cannot grow it, the limitations do not stop with the Asian race. Three factors are in play when trying to grow a beard, your genetics, race and family history. As we said, all societies and races are affected by these factors, not just Asian people.

THE FOUNDATIONS

For some men, the beard is extremely important. They feel like it gives them power, as they just do not feel like men without facial hair. These guys try everything to grow it, and some of them just cannot seem to do it. However, it is not their fault. If you do not have it in your genes, it could be extremely hard.

Facial hair is made of Keratin, which is a protein. Growing any kind of beard depends on this protein a great deal. Another crucial factor is the already mentioned genetics or signals your facial hairs receive from cells, blood, and nerves. Think of them as instructions for how to grow. Asian beards depend on the care they devote to their Keratin protein that is buried in the follicles, as it is the key to a successful beard.

TIPS

Everyone, especially men who are struggling, need help with facial hair. A set of rules needs to be followed, and they are the same for everyone. Here are the tips to help you grow a great beard.

Patience – You do not get it overnight, as it could take a couple of months for your facial hair to grow. Be patient with grooming and wait to see how it will shape up first.

Seek advice – You probably lack some knowledge on beards, so ask for good advice from professionals. It could be a tough process so do not hesitate to ask.

Brush facial hair – All the hairs need to grow in the same direction for a great look, remember this.

Grooming products – These will provide facial hairs with essential vitamins, minerals, and protection. Just like you, it needs a healthy diet!

Moisturize – Another important tip is taking care of your whole face. Coconut oil, for example, is perfect. Healthy face means healthy beard, so look after it.

Keep your beard and face clean – Just like your regular hair, you need to wash and clean your facial hair. A gentle shampoo with a minimal amount of chemicals will do just nicely.

Style – If genetics is on your side, after only a month you will probably have a good amount of facial hair to style a nice beard. Remember, the beard will look the best on you if you style it according to your facial features. Do not overdo or underdo it.

Who knows, maybe it suits you better?
