In tabloid news this week, one story caught the attention of many Angelina Jolie’s fans. Allegedly, she is dating a co-star from Girl, Interrupted and Alexander, Jared Leto, while waiting for her divorce with Brad Pitt to be finalized. If you had your hopes up, we are sorry to burst them, because the story is fabricated and not true.
According to Star, Angelina has found comfort in the arms of Jared after the two started spending time together a few weeks ago over Leto’s new project. He had reached out to Jolie to offer her a leading role in a new movie he is co-writing. One thing led to another and they both discovered that they have strong feelings for each other.
“Jared reached out to Angie a few weeks ago about a movie he’s co-writing, which he’d like her to star in, and the pair started spending time together – initially as friends, but things turned romantic after Angie realized she had strong feelings,” Star quoted their informer.
He or she also claims that Jared has been “supporting her emotionally, and she says it’s because of him that she’s not broken down.” The alleged source adds: “Jared’s practically moved into Angie’s house, and he’s been staying there on and off for the last couple of months.”
Right of the bat, there are some glaring holes in this story. First, the Star’s source says that Leto “reached out to Angie a few weeks ago,” but the next statement says that he’s been staying at her house “for the last couple of months.” So, he first stayed inside the house for months and she only realized that in the last few weeks? The math just doesn’t add up.
The increasingly dubious source continues with alleged insider information, saying that Jolie’s six kids “just think he’s a good friend” and have no knowledge of a romance between them. The insider adds: “Angie doesn’t want to put anything else on their plates, but she’s hoping that as soon as the divorce is finalized, they can go public with their relationship.”
Highly doubtful of the story, not just because the time frame is completely wrong, Gossip Cop reached to one of their sources close to Angelina and had it confirmed that the story is made up. Not only that, but several outlets have said that the actress “has no interest in dating” and wants to spend time with her kids as they go through their parents’ divorce.
This isn’t the first time Star has published false news about Angelina Jolie and Jared Leto romantic involvement. Despite the fact that the two haven’t been seen together since the premiere of Alexander in 2004, Star claimed in 2017 that they started dating as soon as Angeline got separated from Brad. That story was also debunked by the Gossip Cop.
