I haven’t owned a pair of Keds since about 5th grade, but this new Taylor Swift-inspired design might finally convince me to get some. I still haven’t decided how I feel about her new single, but I’m a fan of these Sneaky Cat Keds. They’ll be available in October, just like the her new “1989” album, and feature — you guessed it — sneaky little cats peeking over the edge of the shoe. The heel has Taylor’s birthday, 12-13-89, scrawled on the back in metallic lettering. I’m not sure how I feel about walking around with someone else’s birthday on my feet, but I like that the shoes have just enough of a cutesy twist to stand out without being overwhelming, and I adore any and all cat-related footwear. Taylor already has a pretty massive Keds collection, which isn’t surprising since she seems to work them into just about everything she wears, but this pair was specially designed to celebrate her album launch.
