Pinback Buttons: All You Need To Know About Them

Pinback buttons have been around for some time and you’ve probably seen how they look already. They are badges that can be attached to your clothes, a backpack, a hat and anything else really.

They can mostly be made in any shape, but the most common ones are circular or square like. The attaching is done by a simple mechanism of a safety pin that you can “click” it in place after you put the pin through the desired surface so that it stays there without falling.

Their purpose is to represent something that you like or they can have some message that you want to spread printed on them.

They can have many uses and it is up to you and your creativity to decide what you’re going to do with them.

A lot of teens and music lovers in general despite the age, use them to promote the bands that they love. Pinback buttons are pretty common in the rock/metal culture as well.

You can also use them to promote a campaign or a business idea that you are trying to develop. If you want badges done with your slogan or a message you can visit a website for custom buttons and order a unique design for you.

If you want to be more unique and different and express it through your design, you can use other shapes besides the standard circle or square ones. For example, if your campaign is about astronomy you can have the shape to be a star or one of the planets. If you own a dancing class and you want to promote it, you can make badges in the form of a person that’s dancing. A beer company can make buttons in the form of beer bottle caps. They would look really cool and still promote the business. People get attracted to unique designs.

You get the idea. The more unique your buttons are, the more people are going to recognize them and pay attention.

Buttons can come in different materials as well. They don’t have to be plastic or metal always. Some of them can be made out of cloth or leather. These ones are usually more comfortable to wear and they fold a little bit when your clothes are going to bend etc.

By wearing a badge that represents something you like or support, it will be much easier to start a conversation with a person on that topic that might be otherwise harder to bring up. I’ve made a lot of friends back in high school just by wearing pin backs with my favorite bands on my backpack. A person would just walk up to you and say: “Hey, I see that you like this band, It is one of my favorite bands as well!” and from there it’s much easier to continue the conversation.

It’s also tons of fun to design badges with a group of friends. You can brainstorm ideas and get as creative and crafty as possible.
