So this is kind of a bummer: Taylor Momsen, ex-“Gossip Girl” ingenue and lead singer of the Pretty Reckless, strips down naked in this spoken word video … and the lyrics are pretty heavy. She’s definitely getting nude to signify the rawness of the words, not to be “sexy”; the words, which come from her song “Under the Water,” are quite disturbing. With lyrics like “If I cried unto my mother / she wasn’t there for me / Broken lines across my mirror show my face all red and bruised / And though I screamed and I screamed no one came running / I wasn’t saved from you,” it’s hard to tell if it’s just more of her bad girl posturing (see: egregious black eyeliner abuse, performing onstage with Marilyn Manson), or a genuinely concerning video.
