If you have a pet and it’s Halloween, it can be tempting as hell to want to dress them up for Halloween because they are basically your child and what could possibly go wrong? The answer of course is “everything,” but despite that, this woman and her dog dressed up as the best Halloween costume you will ever see in life. For real. Like, they pulled it off and then some.
If you’re anything like me, you’ve tried to dress up your pet for Halloween (or other holidays) before and they ran away from their costume (cats) or it didn’t fit properly (cats) and even the pet looked at you like this idea was a failure (cats.) That’s what makes this costume, brought to you by former Miss Delaware, Kate Banaszak, and her dog Kellan, dressed up as Wayne and Garth from Wayne’s World so wonderfully weird.
Banaszak is killing it in her Wayne costume, obviously, but man, Kellan is seriously stealing the show by looking way too much like an actual person who is Garth.
Banaszak told The Dodo she worried people wouldn’t “get” the costume, but she adds, “I’m a huge fan of the movie so decided to go with the idea anyway!”
And people (who are me) got it. Ohhhhh we got it. So much in fact, that I want to hang out with both of them and ask them elaborate questions based not only on the movie, but about life in general. That dog just seems very wise and seriously way too much like a person. But in a good way. Kind of.
Reddit commenters also loved the costume, with one user, corybomb, bringing up a good point by saying, “Is that dog huge or is she tiny?” The other comments are mostly just movie quotes because that’s how much people freaking adore that movie (and also her costume with her seemingly gigantic dog).
If you’re currently on the fence about whether or not to do a wacky Halloween costume involving your pet, I think this photo has probably solved that riddle for you. And if it didn’t solve the riddle because your pet is a known asshole who hates clothes (probably because it’s an animal and animals never put on clothes by choice), then you’re no worse off than you were before.
Is anyone still really focused on how huge that dog is? Because that’s where my brain is still hanging out.
