Recently, the friendship between Brad Pitt and George Clooney has been the center of attention in many magazines. But GossipCop has found the truth about those rumors, and here are 5 false rumors about their friendship.
Grazia reported in September that Clooney got in the middle of Pitt’s divorce, and stated that he was trying to play “peacemaker” between Brad and Angelina. But this isn’t true, and that is supported by the fact that Clooney first heard about the news of their divorce from CNN. Also, Clooney’s representatives also shared with GossipCop that rumor about Clooney’s meddling is just “not true.”
Again in September, National Enquirer claimed that Brad Pitt had a ‘’romantic dinner’’ with his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston in Clooney’s home in Italy. This allegedly happened during summer, but Brad Pitt spent his summer in LA, making the movie Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Also, Pitt and Aniston’s agent said that they never got together in Clooney’s house. To support this, Jennifer’s close friend, Portia de Rossi shared with US Weekly that she can assure everybody that the ex-spouses “haven’t seen each other.”
Woman’s Day Australia reported in August that when Angelina and Brad were still together, Angelina forbid Clooney to hand out with Aniston. Not long after the false rumor surfaced, E! News issued a story about Clooney and Aniston’s “Brad Pitt-defying” friendship, which stayed intact for over 20 years. Jennifer Aniston even went on several holidays with Clooney while Jolie-Pitt love was still present. That just proves that Clooney and Aniston stayed good friends after Pitt and Aniston’s divorce.
GossipCop dismissed New Idea’s story in August, which stated that Brad had a “custody party” with Clooney after “winning back” his kids. There are a couple of mistakes in this magazine’s story, but the most important one is that Brad didn’t yet win the custody battle. Just recently it was revealed that Jolie-Pitt custody battle is set for trial on December 4. So Brad and George just couldn’t commemorate something that never happened.
And for the end, Woman’s Day made up a story in May that Brad Pitt was looking for an advice from Clooney about his alleged ‘’romance’’ with MIT professor Neri Oxman. The magazine declared that Pitt wanted Clooney’s advice on how to date a woman who has nothing to do with the Hollywood scene. But, Pitt’s agents revealed that he wasn’t in a relationship with Nori, and just recently, Nori shared in a New York Times interview that she has never been romantically involved with the actor.
