Markle’s family is outside England
Meghan Markle was born and raised in the USA, and she doesn’t have family in England. Her only connection with her family is her mother since she is not in a good relationship with her father, Thomas Markle, or with her half-siblings.
Doria and the royal family
Doria Ragland has an excellent relationship with the members of the royal family. She was seen leaving the church with Prince Charles on Meghan and Harry’s wedding day, and Queen Elizabeth II herself invited her to spend time with them during Christmas.

Meghan and Doria are close
Meghan Markle and her mother are very close, and even though they are not seeing each other as often as they would like, it is sure that they spend as much time talking to each other on the phone. Meghan and Harry are moving to Frogmore Cottage soon, and there is plenty of room for Doria to stay once she comes.
Doria didn’t spend much time with the royal family
Due to the fact that she lives across the ocean, she didn’t spend much time in the company of the royal family. But now since Harry and Meghan have a new home, and with the baby on the way, Doria can come and stay for as long as she wants, and therefore spend as much time as she wants with the royal family.

All new moms know how hard it is once the first child arrives. It is still unknown if Doria will come to help her daughter, but there is a strong possibility that she will. Doria mentioned how she has a desire to be present at the birth of baby Sussex, so we just have to wait and see how will everything plan out to be.
