It seems that the public and press aren’t happy with the Buckingham Palace’s delayed report about Meghan Markle being in labour. The Palace announced that the Duchess of Sussex was in labour seven hours after he had given birth. With this, people and press can’t help but think that the Palace is telling lies.
On 6th May, at 5:26 am, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle welcomed their first child into this world. The baby boy weighs 7lbs 3oz. The couple’s communication office is managed by Buckingham Palace, which announced that Markle had been in labour hours after the baby was born. Royal expert Duncan Larcombe was pretty upset about this fact, and he said: „I think with the press that Harry probably doesn’t ever like the press. But I think there is a danger that by shutting them out time and time again. We saw it in the wedding in comparison to William and Kate, we have seen it again with this royal birth. And then there was the email announcing that she had gone into labour and it turned out seven hours earlier the baby had been born. The Palace cannot issue lies, they cannot do that.“
PR expert Nick Ede asked Larcombe about possibility of this being a mistake made by the Palace’s press department. Larcombe answered: „Nick, the people that look after the royals are civil servants. So, what happened? They are either lying or they are incompetent. Either way I wouldn’t want that on my CV. Harry has got appointed his own team and clearly wants to do something completely different from William which he is entitled to do. But as a first start for his new media team, they have put a lot of noses out of joint. They even issued a statement accidentally, they claim, to one broadcaster in the UK and snubbing all of the others and blaming it on an email error.“
Allegedly Meghan Markle gave birth at the Portland Hospital in London, and returned home the same day. The Sussex Baby is named Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. „The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were introduced to the newborn son of The Duke & Duchess of Sussex at Windsor Castle. Ms Doria Ragland was also present. The Duke & Duchess of Sussex are delighted to announce that they have named their son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor,“ the official royal Twitter account’s post reads.
The name Archie originates from the Middle Ages, and it means „son of Henry“ or „son of Harry“. In March, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced that they wouldn’t take part in a public photo shoot after the birth, so they organised a photocall at St George’s Hall, Windsor Castle, where their wedding reception was held last year. Prince Harry was holding his son wrapped up in white, and Markle was standing next to them. The couple were answering the questions of reporters, and they both looked happy and peaceful. Prince Harry said: „Everyone says that babies change so much over two weeks we’re basically monitoring how the changing process happens over this next month really. But his looks are changing every single day, so who knows.“
Buckingham Palace didn’t comment Larcombe’s remarks.
