Something good came after this bitter battle between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt after all. Because of that, her relationship with her son Maddox has become stronger, and he has been her biggest support, ever since the actress began this custody battle with Brad Pitt. According to Hollywood Life, and an insider close to Angelina said:
“Angelina’s relationship with Maddox has never been stronger, they’ve always had a special connection but since the divorce, their bond has only strengthened. They really rely on each other. He’s always been wise beyond his years but since her split with Brad, he’s proven his maturity and wisdom is much greater than that of the average 17-year-old.”
But how has he proven his maturity? He would rather look after his siblings, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 12, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 10, than spend time with his friends.
“Maddox has gone above and beyond to help out with the younger kids. He has Angelina’s blessing to do the teenage thing and take off with his friends but instead he sticks around to be with her and his brothers and sisters,” the insider continued. “It’s amazing how selfless he is, he definitely isn’t the average teenager. He’s one of Angeline’s greatest sources of pride and strength, she lights up whenever she talks about him.”
It’s no wonder that the duo has a special bond. Maddox was Angelina’s first child, whom she found in an orphanage in Battambang, Cambodia in 2002. Even though there was no connection between her and the other children, she shared with Vanity Fair in 2017, that when she laid eyes on baby Maddox, she “cried and cried”.
But the actress isn’t showing favoritism towards Maddox, she is spending as much time with him, as she is with her other children. She was seen hiking with her girls and twins and shopping with Pax.
