After four years of their life together, George and Amal Clooney’s marriage looks like it’s on a shaky ground.
Instead of celebrating their fourth wedding anniversary together, Amal attended 73rd session of the United Nations Assembly in New York, while George was out with his friend Rande Gerber in Los Angeles.
“The fact that they couldn’t manage to be in the same city and spend such an important day together is the writing on the wall,” a source shared with Life & Style.
Their work also doesn’t help the marriage. Amal is spending a lot of time in New York, and George is always in LA.
It’s been 75 days since the couple last saw each other. The last time they were spotted together was on August 12.
A source said that during the wedding of Duke and Duchess of Sussex in May “you could cut the tension with a knife”.
“George was drinking and having a blast as he socialized with Harry’s friends, unlike Amal who was uptight and unfriendly,” shared the insider.
This could be why Amal and George didn’t show up for Princess Eugenie’s wedding in the previous month. But one could not deny the strong relationship the couple shares, even with all those rumors about their marriage going around. George even made a joke when he referred to himself as “Amal Clooney’s husband”.
“I’m always very proud of her when I see her speaking at the International Court of Appeals in Strasbourg, you know, with her robe on – it’s very impressive,” he bragged.
There is still some fighting going on.
Apparently, Amal isn’t pleased with the way George is living his life.
Since the birth of their 16-month-old twins Alexander and Ella, Amal has set up a few rules.
“She doesn’t want George out late with his friends, coming home late and waking up the twins,” the source revealed.
