Flying drones is extremely fun, but what’s not fun is actually crashing a thousand dollar drone because you’re not a really experienced in operating. Jokes aside, drones are incredibly entertaining, and if you happen to be someone who never tried flying one, we totally advise you to do it. Not many people are entertained by the sight of flying a drone, but upon actually trying it themselves, they’re immediately hooked.

However, if you are a beginner and just getting into the world of drones, it is advisable that you choose something that’s cheaper, lighter and much more forgiving in terms of crashing it. Today we’re helping you find the perfect drone for beginners, so feel free to read until the end if you want to learn more.

Budget as a limiting factor

If you are a beginner and just stepping into the world of drones, the chances are that you don’t have more than a hundred dollars prepared to spend on these things. Plus, it is not advisable to purchase a really expensive drone as your first one, simply because you don’t want to end up crashing it and causing big financial damage. When it comes to crashing a drone, it happens to anyone, so there’s nothing to worry about, but the damage is much smaller when you start off with a cheaper, more entry-level drone.

Functionality

Entry-level drones that are meant for beginners might not have some of the “fanciest” features that the more advanced an expensive drones have, but you don’t need them at the start. All it matters is that the drone is flying and that you’re constantly learning and improving. When you learn to fly an entry-level drone, switching to a high-quality and professional one will feel like heaven. Same goes for driving a car. You master a bad car, you master them all. You can read more reviews on entry-level drones and decide which one is the best for you.

Battery Size

Beginners are really excited about flying their brand new drone, but they often tend to forget that the battery size of these things is not unlimited. When you’re purchasing an entry-level drone, make sure that you get one that has a battery with a larger capacity. When you get your first drone, all you want to do is just fly it constantly, so you won’t be having much fun if you constantly have to charge it. There are many good choices on the market out there which are entry-level but offer great battery life as well. DJI Spark is one of those examples.

Camera Feature

Drones are mainly used by photographers and media content creators, simply because they allow us to take photos and videos from angles which are otherwise unreachable. However, some entry-level drones don’t have a high-quality camera, although you always have the option of replacing it with something better if you want to. What’s important is not to expect too much of the camera on an entry-level drone, and focus on learning how to fly properly instead. When you get a better and more expensive drone, you can start making breathtaking shots and videos.
