Meghan Markle was a Hollywood actress when she went on a blind date with Prince Harry. They ended up falling in love, engaged, married and now they are expecting their first baby.
The first time they met
There are some reports that the mutual friend who set them up for a blind date was either fashion designer Mischa Nonoo or Prince Harry’s friend, Violet von Westenholz. Whoever it was, it was responsible for this wonderful power-couple we have today. Prince Harry mentioned before how he knew instantly that Meghan was the one, and despite their busy lives and the fact that they lived on different continents, they made their relationship work.
Social media
Meghan used to have an Instagram and Twitter account before she married Prine Harry. At the time, Prince Harry opened a secret social media account to follow Meghan, and he would leave some secret messages and emojis on her posts. That was his way of flirting with her, and the two were the only one to know.
Social media in the royal family
It is not a prohibition for the royal family members to have social media accounts, but they are staying away from it, as a way of protecting their privacy. Meghan deleted all her social media account once she became the Duchess of Sussex. Kate Middleton once said that social media users can be very negative, and the royal family simply doesn’t want to deal with all that public scrutiny online. Given the fact of how the media is towards Meghan, it is not shocking at all that the Duchess of Sussex wants to be as far away from social media as possible.
But, there are some official social media accounts that help the royal family to stay connected with the fans, but the royal family members are not running it. With that said, the Queen did make an Instagram post recently, but their main focus is to keep the public up to date with all the charity work the family is doing.
