The IGCSE is a test taken in the United Kingdom and surrounding areas that is the equivalent to the high school GED in America.

The IGSCE is very good for people who like to learn at their own time. Whatever your score is entirely your fault. One of the things that can help you pass this test are the IGCSE exam papers, and with those, you will go through it with flying colors. This is not easy, and if you are here looking for the answers on how to pass it then stick around.

The key thing to understand is that many people like to come up with different ways of studying, and that might help you, but the preferred way of preparing for your IGSCE is to take a more simple approach.

So what is the simple way of studying?

1.    Taking Notes

Your brain cannot absorb all the information from class, so don’t think that is the best way of going about it. Whenever in class, listen to the teacher and listen closely. Make sure to take down brief summary notes of stuff like key concepts, or equations for example. Listen to your teacher and make sure to write everything down. Each lesson should not take more than a page and a half. If you write more than that, then you’re probably not paying attention to what the teacher says.

Whenever you go home, review what you’ve learned and written for that day, and do that every day and every week. It shouldn’t take you more than half an hour to review your day, so it should not be a problem to sacrifice 30 minutes of your day. After that, type up a document with all the important keywords or phrases for that lesson and update it every day. On the weekends make sure to review everything from the past week, and this should not take you more than two or three hours.

Sticking to this way of studying will allow you to revise your day faster and remember the information more, as they are fresher. This will serve you well as you will be more prepared instead of learning one week before the exam.

2.    Practice Papers

Learning through IGSCE exam papers is also a smart way of preparing for your IGSCE. In fact, there are a lot of websites that have past exam papers which you can download online for free.

Simply start from the 2013 papers and work your way at the top. When going through your practice papers, make sure to have a copy of the answers, because you might notice that the questions are similar thought the year, so the answers should be similar too. This will create a sense of familiarity for certain questions that you can answer by just looking at what the question asks. Subsequently, this will make you understand the model Cambridge uses in their questions and the way Cambridge wants you to answer them. And this will put you in the driving seat because there might be people who understand the concept but lack the ability to answer in the ways Cambridge wants.

There are a lot of courses that specialize in IGSCE practice exam papers and will help you try to score high. These courses have an English language centre’s all across the UK, and they are certainly an option when it comes to taking IGSCE.
