In the beginning, Meghan Markle had a very nice relationship with her father, just like any other daughter has with her father. They’ve talked on the phone and it seemed that Thomas Markle is very happy for his daughter. Prince Harry was supposed to meet him, and he was excited about that. But everything changed just a few days before the big day, a few days before their royal wedding.
Thomas was supposed to come to the wedding, but he was caught staging some paparazzi photographs and everything involving that was very strange. He also had some health problems, so he canceled his trip to England. Ever since then, Meghan Markle and Thomas Markle have a very strange relationship.

Meghan never made any official or public statements about her father or their relationship, and she never said that she wants to reconcile with him. But she did write him a letter where she talked about her feelings and where she said that he hurt her a lot. That letter could have been something that makes them reconcile, but nothing much happened, because the letter was leaked to the press.
But now, after the baby was born, Thomas made a statement where he said that he was very happy that the mother and the baby are well, and he also said that he is very proud that his grandson was born into the royal British family. When Meghan Markle was still pregnant, she and Prince Harry, had a visit from Prince William and Kate Middleton, and it was on Easter Sunday. They’ve visited the couple because Meghan couldn’t attend the church services because of her pregnancy.

The relationship between Meghan and her father Thomas is bad, but everything can be fixed. Maybe one day Meghan and Harry decide to call Meghan’s father and reconcile with him. Maybe one day he will come and stay at their home. Maybe one day everything will be okay. But we need to wait and see.
