Kim Kardashian is most famous for the shape of her body, and while most of the people think it’s all done by surgery and Photoshop, Kim Kardashian has been working a lot to maintain her perfect silhouette. What is her secret?

The trainer

In the 14th season of Kim’s reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians, she came across an Instagram profile of a woman named Melissa Alcantara. Melissa Alcantara is a bodybuilder, who is also a mother, like Kim. Alcantara managed to get back in shape after gaining 70 pounds during her pregnancy, and she even managed to get some awesome muscles.

Setting a goal

UPDATE 1600/1700 cals – 2000 cals and 1.5lbs heavier (mostly water weight) When I decided to compete my coach @coachmarkcarroll increased my calories to 2000 immediately. I wasn’t tracking my food but I knew I was under eating reaching about 1700 cals a day. These videos are 1 week apart, getting to 2000 cals was hard, some days I didn’t make it, some days I went over. I gained 1.5 lbs. The key is planning ahead and being consistent, it takes a little time to get back into the swing of things. The reason for my calorie increase is so I can go into a caloric deficit at the highest amount of calories possible. So for example if you’ve been eating 1600 calories for months your body has made that your maintenance and now in order for you to get lean your starting point is already low. But if your maintenance is high at about 2200 calories then you’ll be lean at your homegirls maintenance of 1600. Get it?! My calories are currently 2100 and counting ?, I’m complaining now but In a few months ima be begging for those cals to come back lol. #wbff @paul_dillett @wbff_official : : : #bodybuilding #transformation #wcw #fitness #fitfam #fitspo #inspire #dedication #beauty #bodygoals #natty #natural #competitor #fitspiration #trainhard

Alcantara says that, if you want to stay concentrated on your fitness adventure, you first must set a goal. When she and Kim are working together, they like to set a milestone that they feel most strongly about achieving. Alcantara also says that it helps if you write your goals down, because that way you have a constant reminder of that thing you must do, and it also feels great at the end to cross it off your list once you have achieved your goal.

Planning

#ad You guys all know I looove @flattummyco shakes. I've just restarted them (it's Day 2 today) and I’m already feeling so good. We had a huuuuge Christmas this year and between that, New Years and everything inbetween… I felt like it was impossible to fit in my regular work outs and eat healthy. But this program is giving me a kick in the right direction that I need. These meal replacement shakes are so good and they're helping me get my tummy back to flat. I’m already feeling amazing and I’m so excited for the next few weeks. Because they’re all about getting women back on track… they’ve got a 20% off sale going on right now, so if you want to start 2019 off right… trust me, you’re going to want to check them out. PS. I’m doing the chocolate program?

When you set your goal, and when you write it down, you should start with planning. Meal preparation is one of the biggest parts of a healthy diet. Sometimes you are too lazy to cook, or sometimes there is nothing to eat, and you are craving junk food, so you go out and have some. The best thing you can do is to prepare your meals for the next couple of days so that there is always food for you to stay on track of your healthy diet. For exercising, you should figure out what parts of your body you want to work on, and you should try and find the best order so you can maximize your weight loss and enhance muscle gains.

Discipline

It is easy to lose focus on your training, and it is even harder to get back on. You need to stay concentrated and disciplined when it comes to your training, and by achieving your smaller goals you will feel empowered by your accomplishments and it will be easier for you to push even harder.

Reciting the routine

Reciting your routine helps to maintain focus while exercising, and you should always do it when you are at the gym, or while working out at home because you won’t get easily distracted and you will focus more on the body parts you want to exercise the most.

Food

Alcantara recommends all-natural unprocessed fresh food. Working out will never give the results you want unless you are on a proper diet. Alcantara also says you should mix it all up, by doing HIIT, calisthenics, functional body movements and even some lifting. Water is also very important, so don’t forget to drink it!
