Being fashionable and eco-friendly at the same time can be less about the green in your clothes and more about the green in your wallet. Luckily, Loomstate, the organic clothing company known for its jeans and t-shirts, has launched a line with Target. Created by committed environmentalists and designers Rogan Gregory and Scott MacKinlay Hahn, the Loomstate for Target collection uses only 100-percent organic cotton, and the pieces don’t cost more than $45. Now that’s something we can commit to.
The line has a summery, beachy aesthetic, thanks to the soft-washed fabrics, which give the garments a lived-in feel. Load up your summer wardrobe with super-thin cotton sweaters, comfy tees with the signature Loomstate pelican design, and preppy plaid shorts. We love the cheeky shirts, like the blue jersey number that reads “I (picture of an owl) U.”
The menswear collection is the epitome of the “cool guy,” with pelican print or solid board shorts meant for swimming or hanging around town. Have your guy pair them with a short-sleeved plaid button-up over a graphic print t-shirt.
The line’s here in time for Earth Day, so stock up, and you’ll save some trees by saving the paper in your wallet.
