Danish actor and “Game of Thrones” star, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is taking part in a new film called Suicide Tourist. This mystery drama, with romantic elements, is from Copenhagen – based production Snowglobe, who also produced films like “Thelma,” “The Untamed” and “Birds of a Passage.”
It is based on a book written by Rasmus Birch and it follows Max, an insurance claims adjuster, who finds himself in a secretive hotel after investigating the disappearance of a man. The hotel gives guests the opportunity to fulfil the fantasy of their suicide and at the end, Max realises that the only way out of the hotel is a suicide.
Directed by Danish director Jonas Alexander Arnby, the film is currently filming in Norway and it is expected to wrap in November, and we hope it will be ready for theatres next spring. Arnby, who also directed “When Animals Dream”, said that film is “the weird and emotional love story I always wanted to make.”
Coster-Waldau was really excited about working on a film. He thinks this is “a truly original, thrilling and moving love story….
“. He couldn’t hide his excitement and enthusiasm while filming it with actors from different countries especially his colleague from a “Game Of Thrones” Robert Aeamayo who played Eddard Stark , “We are halfway through the shoot, and my enthusiasm has only increased seeing the set design, the work by our DP Niels [Thastum] and my fellow actors.”
