Everybody is still talking about the new royal baby, baby Sussex, that will soon be born. But there are some other interesting things happening in the lives of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decided to create their own royal household. They are going to separate from Prince William and Kate Middleton. So obviously, Queen Elizabeth II gave permission for this, but she wasn’t so happy about it.

There was an official statement about the split

There was an official announcement from Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace about Prince Harry and Prince William separating their households. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are separating from the Cambridge’s. The statement said that the Queen gave permission for creating a new household for The Duke and Duchess of Sussex. The new household has full support from The Queen and The Prince of Wales, and it will be established in the spring.

Currently, the Duke of Sussex has his own private office and that office is supporting the Duchess since their engagement that was in November 2017. The plan is that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle move to their official residence at Frogmore Cottage, where they will be able to start their family life when their baby is born. It is also stated that this was a long-planned move and that this move will ensure that they have permanent support for their work when they move to the Frogmore Cottage. But the base of their Household Office will be at Buckingham Palace. They will get appointed with new communications staff, which will report to The Queen’s Communications Secretary, Donal McCabe. And until that team is formed, they will get the support from Kensington Palace.

There was also an additional update from Kensington Palace about who will be taking the lead on communications for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Sara Latham was appointed for that role, and she will be the head of communications for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and she will report directly to The Queen’s Communication Secretary, Donal McCabe. Before that, she oversaw global corporate accounts with a particular emphasis on executive thought leadership and purpose-led campaigns, at Feuds.

They wanted total independence from the palace, but Queen didn’t allow that

There were rumors that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle wanted their household to be totally independent of Buckingham Palace, but they weren’t allowed that. They’ve got only to have a separate household, but the base for their household will be at Buckingham Palace.

The reason for that is there are some institutional rules that don’t allow that kind of independence. They need to be under the jurisdiction of Buckingham Palace, and they just can’t be independent, and they can’t do their own thing.

There are also rumors why the split happened

Source: People

There were rumors going around that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are splitting from Prince William and Kate Middleton because the brother was fighting. But that were just rumors, they are not fighting, they are just growing up. It is normal that Prince Harry wants to have a separate household now that he has his own family, his new wife and a child on the way. Prince Harry and Prince William were inseparable after the death of their mother, and they were always helping each other. But now each of them has their own families and they need and want to be independent. They are still in good terms, they are still loving brothers, but they decided that they have different paths in their lives. They have different outlooks on life, and they want to do different things.
