Prince Harry was notorious for his wild single life, but he was also known as a romantic when in a relationship. He had two girlfriends before he married Meghan Markle – Chelsy Davy and Cressida Bonas.
His single life before Meghan
Bonas and Prince Harry broke up in 2014, and for 2 years, Prince Harry was a single man. He was always hanging out with Prince William and Kate Middleton, but when Kate gave birth to Prince George, Prince Harry felt a little lonely. Katie Nichol wrote in her book, Harry: Life, Loss, and Love, “Harry felt detached, lonely, and rudderless, and according to a friend he dreaded Sunday nights. He’d say ‘William’s got so boring,’ when in fact William was living the life I think Harry wanted for himself. I think he was worried he was going to be left on the shelf.”
Envious
Katie Nicholl also said, “Before Prince George’s birth, the trio had lived across the courtyard from each other and Harry was often at Nott Cott, as it was affectionately known. Harry had become very close to Kate, who helped to fill some of the emotional void in his life. Harry would often suffer really bad spells of loneliness. He was prone to bouts of feeling very low.”
Meghan Markle
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry went on a blind date in 2016, and Prince Harry revealed how he knew Markle was the one, “the very first time we met.” Despite the fact that Meghan was already a famous Hollywood actress, she revealed to BBC, “There was a misconception that because I have worked in the entertainment industry that this would be something I would be familiar with. But I’ve never been part of tabloid culture. I’ve never been in pop culture to that degree and lived a relatively quiet life.”
